Ballymena furniture retailer Algram have recently opened their stunning new Algram Bed Studio. The design concept and bespoke interior fit out was conceived & designed by MAD Colour before being brought to life by the talented joinery & install team at MAD Colour.
The new Studio features beds from the top leading bed manufacturers – Enchanted House Beds, Sleepeezee, Mark Finch, Dunlopillo, Harrison and others. As well as the fantastic range of divans and bed frames in the new Studio, they also have a range of mattresses and pillows.
The aim of the project was to create a beautiful, relaxed and well laid out space to allow customers to choose the bed they want to lie on and experience it for themselves. This cohesive design concept produced by MAD Colour uses bespoke wallpaper, custom light boxes, integrated desks and tailored product display areas for pillows & mattresses to deliver an impactful but welcoming and fully functional sales floor.
The concept delivered a dedicated space for the Algram Bed Studio with two entrance and exit points allowing us to control the lighting and the customer journey through the space. Combined with bespoke product displays for accessories, branded light boxes and lifestyle imagery the new 1st floor environment sets the scene perfectly for customers dreaming of a better night time sanctuary.
Store manager Philip Logan said. “As all our regular customers will know, we have stocked the leading bed manufacturers and supplied great quality beds for many years, but we felt it was time to take our bed department to a new level. Our aim was to create a welcoming, relaxed and non-cluttered space where customers could choose their bed. We wanted to create more privacy and use subtle lighting to good effect. We’re very happy with the end result and the feedback from customers has been really positive.”
It’s often been said at Algram, ‘always buy a good pair of shoes and a good bed, because if you’re not in one you’re in the other.‘ At MAD Colour we like to borrow the words of a guy who knows a thing or two about what looks good:
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works”
